The Sustaining the African Health Initiative Community of Practice (AHI CoP) Project Secretariat at the Regional Institute for Population Studies (RIPS) is pleased to announce an upcoming Residential Training on Conducting Systematic Reviews, designed specifically for researchers committed to strengthening health systems across Africa. This immersive workshop will introduce participants to best practices in conducting systematic reviews and guide them through developing a draft manuscript for publication. Over the course of the training, participants will spend two intensive days drafting a review protocol for publication, with expert support and peer feedback. Teams will be expected to submit the completed systematic review for peer-reviewed publication within six months of the completion of the training.
Workshop Objectives:
- Equip participants with practical skills to design and implement systematic reviews in the health systems space
- Strengthen team-based capacity for protocol development and foster collaboration
- Develop manuscripts for publication.
Application Guidelines:
- Applicants must apply as teams of 3–4 people
- Each team should have a clearly defined topic related to health systems strengthening in Africa
- Priority will be given to interdisciplinary teams with a commitment to advancing equity and accessibility
